Puget Sounds Piano School is located in the historic Mercantile building in downtown Issaquah. Students and parents alike enjoy the high ceilings and natural light provided by our large windows.
Puget Sounds has five teaching studios, and a recital space. Each of our teaching spaces is equipped with an excellent acoustic piano on which lessons primarily take place. In addition, the studio has various digital pianos which are used as teaching aids, or for ensemble playing. There is a cozy waiting area for parents and students to relax in, read a book, or complete their homework while they wait for their lesson.
Can’t make it to Issaquah? No problem; we also offer online lessons, and Independent Study, our asynchronous virtual program.
Director and Instructor Shannon Keeler founded Puget Sounds Piano School back in 1999 after years of playing and teaching the piano. She opened the school in a tiny, two-room office on Maple Street, and had almost 80 students in less than three months.
Over the years, Puget Sounds has grown, but only when an instructor with the right teaching style, experience and education is ready to join.
In 2004 Puget Sounds moved to our current location: the historic Mercantile Building on Front Street in downtown Issaquah. This centralized location has allowed students from all over the Eastside to get to us easily. Our students come from Issaquah, Sammamish, Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, North Bend, Snoqualmie, Renton, and even Seattle.
